Links to a video page (weibo.com/tv/show/...) and to a post with a video (weibo.com/ followed by the user and post numbers) both work. Links from the mobile site, m.weibo.cn, don’t at the moment: open the post on weibo.com and copy that address instead.

Questions about downloading from Weibo

Why doesn’t my m.weibo.cn link work?

Links from Weibo’s mobile site don’t load on SaveVideo at the moment. Open the same post on weibo.com, in a browser or with the desktop site, and copy that address. Links to a post or a video page on weibo.com work.

Do I need a Weibo account?

No. The Weibo video downloader doesn’t log in to Weibo, so you never sign in to anything and don’t need a Weibo account. It saves public videos from weibo.com. SaveVideo can’t save videos that Weibo shows only to logged-in users, because it has no way to see them.

Can I save a Weibo video as MP3?

Weibo gives SaveVideo video qualities but no MP3 option, so the Weibo video downloader saves MP4 only; an MP3 request fails. Save the video as MP4 instead, in the quality you pick. The MP4 keeps the sound along with the picture, so you still have the audio.
