FAQ

Questions about downloading from Facebook

Can I save a Facebook video as MP3?

Yes. Paste the video’s link, open the Audio only tab and pick MP3 instead of a video quality, and you get the sound on its own as an MP3 file. It suits interviews, speeches and music, when the sound is all you need, and it works on a phone or a computer.

Can I download private Facebook videos or videos from groups?

Only videos that anyone can watch without logging in. The Facebook video downloader doesn’t log in to Facebook, so it can’t reach videos in private groups or videos shared only with friends. Videos in public groups haven’t been tested yet. If one fails, tell us through the contact form and include the link.

What quality are Facebook videos saved in?

Up to 1080p, depending on the upload. The Facebook video downloader lists the qualities Facebook has for the video, highest first. On 5 October 2026, a Facebook page video offered 360p, 720p and 1080p, plus MP3, and a reel offered 720p and 1080p.
